  • Blade steel and cutting chamber. Hardened, heat-treated blades and heavy-duty frame thickness add material cost but define how long the machine survives on abrasive or contaminated feedstock.
  • Duty rating. Machines engineered for one or two shifts of continuous running use heavier gearboxes and bearings than units designed for occasional light use. This engineering is reflected in the price.
  • Auxiliary configuration. PLC control, automatic reverse, feeding ram, dust collection, cyclone separation or downstream conveying typically add a meaningful percentage on top of the base machine.

Mid-range single or twin-shaft machines handling roughly 1,000 kg/h commonly fall in the US$25,000–45,000 range. Heavy-duty twin-shaft systems at around 2,000–3,000 kg/h usually quote between US$45,000 and US$130,000, while large four-shaft or fully integrated multi-ton-per-hour lines can run from roughly US$130,000 upward. Single-shaft, two-shaft or four-shaft — which fits your application
