- Wipe down external surfaces and clear any dust build-up around the motor and control cabinet.
Monthly tasks: lubrication and screens

- Lubricate bearings and gears with the manufacturer-recommended grease. For main shaft and screen bearings, high-temperature lithium-based grease applied every 7-15 days works well. Avoid cheap lubricants, which can cause overheating.
- Clean and inspect the screen. The screen is a core component that controls granule size. Disassemble and clean it, and check for damage or blockages that would let oversized granules through.
- Check electrical connections for corrosion or looseness, and verify that the emergency stop works.
Quarterly tasks: filters and separator calibration
Every three months, focus on the systems that keep the dry separator working accurately.
- Check the dust collection filters. Clogged filters reduce airflow, making separation less effective and filling the workspace with dust. Clean or replace them as needed.
- Calibrate the separator. Adjust the airflow speed, vibration frequency and separator angle so that copper and plastic separate cleanly. If you see copper in the plastic bin or plastic in the copper bin, check the dust duct for blockages and the magnetic separator for faults.
- Inspect the transmission system. Check belts, chains and motor couplings for wear, and replace aging parts before they fail.
Annual tasks: the full inspection

This is the time to check the electrical system end to end, verify the separator calibration, and look for wear that the routine checks miss.
